Jiuzhou Automobile Successfully Delivers First Ambulance Order After Work Resumption
"Great, I didn’t expect such a beautiful vehicle to be produced in such a short time." On April 20, two negative-pressure ambulances modified by Xiangyang Jiuzhou Automobile Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Jiuzhou Automobile"), a subsidiary of CRRC Transportation, were successfully delivered and received positive feedback from the customer. This order was also the first successfully delivered order after Jiuzhou Automobile resumed work and production, laying a solid foundation for a good start to its business development in 2020.
On February 29 this year, Jiuzhou Automobile signed an ambulance sales contract with the customer. To meet the schedule and accelerate progress, while Xiangyang City in Hubei Province had not yet been fully reopened, Jiuzhou Automobile overcame unfavorable factors such as difficulties in employees returning to work and insufficient inventory materials. The company rapidly integrated various resources and manpower, carried out epidemic prevention work while organizing employees to work overtime, and ultimately delivered the vehicles to the customer four days ahead of the contract schedule.
The ambulances delivered this time are the latest products listed in Jiuzhou Automobile’s official product catalog. The vehicle is modified from the Ford New Generation V348 light passenger vehicle. The modified Ford V348 ambulance shows significant improvements in design, engine, and negative-pressure system. First, the exterior continues the overseas version design style, with a new family-style front face that appears more fashionable; second, the vehicle is equipped with a 2.2T National V diesel engine with 136 horsepower; third, it is fitted with a high-capacity negative-pressure ventilation system, and when activated, the relative cabin pressure reaches -23 to -27Pa; fourth, it is equipped with built-in ultraviolet sterilization lamps, which can completely seal and disinfect bacteria or viruses within the cabin.
